Our
Club, which has now been running for some 10 years, sails Int’l One
Meter (IOM) and 10 Raters (10R) Class RC yachts (with the odd
Marblehead) throughout the whole year every Wednesday and Saturday
between 12:00 to 4.00 pm.
Prior to all events,
lakeside discussions, involving all matters “great and small”,
usually begin around 0930-1000hrs.
As for our sailing
events, each day on the water currently consists of 16 races divided
equally between the IOM and 10R classes – the annual racing calendar
is also divided equally between handicap and scratch racing.
We believe our Club
could possibly be the most active sailing club on the east coast -
maybe nationally.
Club
membership currently consists
of 37
members and 9 multi club members
who mostly all sail on a regular basis.
The Club’s amenities
include M+F toilets, a rescue boat, storage and equipment shed,
electric BBQ facilities, a large enclosed children’s play ground
adjacent to the sailing venue.
We do
welcome all visitors and spectators to our events.
Our
Club's current plan is to update our activities as often as possible
with results and Club activities.
